Professor Carlos marvila

Born in 1990 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Carlos Marvila discovered his passion for martial arts early in life. Introduced to Judo at age 9 by his uncle Cleiton Caliocane, he quickly embraced discipline and self-control. Two years later, his uncles Cleiton and Wander Caliocane introduced him to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), where he found his true calling.

Combining his expertise in Judo, BJJ, Muay Thai, and boxing, Carlos debuted in MMA at 20, but his love for Jiu-Jitsu ultimately led him back to the mats. With titles including 18-time state champion, 7-time Brazilian champion, and 2-time world champion, Carlos’s dedication earned him his black belt in 2015 from his uncle and mentor, Professor Cleiton.

Now living in Uxbridge, Canada, with his wife and five children, Professor Carlos teaches Jiu-Jitsu, passing down the values of humility, determination, and honor he has carried for over 20 years.
